So the last week or so it’s been gorgeous here, in the seventies a few days and lots of sun. I’ve had the boys outside as much as possible: trimming ivy, pruning bushes and general yard clean up.
Today we have about two inches of snow on the ground and we’re expecting it to still be cold until after Easter. Great. I hate when there is snow on Easter.
Fortunately I got my shopping and running done earlier this week, so we’re staying holed up, coloring eggs and baking cookies and a cake for Easter dessert. Tomorrow I need to make the potato salad, red cabbage and devilled eggs… needless to say, I think we’ll be going to the library first thing tomorrow morning to find some good DVDs for the boys for the weekend.
Here’s our list for Easter dinner:
Hungarian potato salad
honey dinner rolls (from Breadsmith in Lakewood)
streusel coffee cake
Doesn’t sound like much, but it is when you’re the only one doing all the cooking!
I’m trying to figure out how I want to archive my recipes and make them searchable on my site; once I do, I’ll be able to post links.
